Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Model

All journals published under Ilmues Open Journals operate a rigorous double-blind peer review model to ensure the quality, integrity, and scholarly value of all published articles. Under this model, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.

All manuscripts submitted to Ilmues Open Journals are reviewed by independent experts selected on the basis of their subject-matter expertise, research experience, and familiarity with methodologies relevant to the submitted work. Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors, and author identities are not disclosed to reviewers.

Reviewers are appointed on an ad-hoc basis, allowing the Editorial Board to assign each manuscript to the most suitable specialists across a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to engineering, computer science, physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences, finance, and interdisciplinary research.

Ilmues Open Journals does not maintain a fixed or publicly listed Reviewer Board. Instead, a dynamic and international reviewer pool is maintained and continuously updated to reflect emerging research areas and evolving methodological standards. Reviewer participation is voluntary, and invitations are issued on a per-manuscript basis.

This flexible reviewer model ensures:

• Appropriate expertise for multidisciplinary submissions

All reviewers are required to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical conduct, in accordance with international best practices in scholarly publishing.

Selection of Reviewers

Reviewers are selected by the editorial team based on the following criteria:

• Demonstrated expertise in relevant subject areas
• Independence from the authors and affiliated institutions
• Absence of conflicts of interest
• Positive past reviewing performance, where applicable

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to adhere to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. Their responsibilities include:

• Providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
• Assessing scholarly rigor, methodological soundness, and technical validity
• Evaluating reproducibility and transparency of methods and results
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of manuscript content
• Reporting ethical concerns, including plagiarism, data manipulation, or suspected misconduct

Number of Reviews

A minimum of two independent reviewer reports is required before an editorial decision is made. When reviewer opinions diverge significantly, an additional reviewer may be invited.

Decision Criteria

Editorial decisions are guided by the following considerations:

• Originality and scholarly contribution
• Methodological rigor and transparency
• Accuracy and validity of data, models, or analytical methods
• Relevance to the journal’s scope
• Clarity, reproducibility, and overall quality of presentation

Appeals

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written request supported by clear, evidence-based arguments. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or an appointed senior editor. The decision resulting from the appeal process is final.
